I have been remiss in introducing myself, as M. Forge actually was able to create an electromagnetically shielded laptop for me yesterday, but it was a Friday, and I felt that I was required to take in the local clubbing scene.

I see that M. Summers has already announced my arrival. As he said, I am Jean-Phillipe Colbert, and I have come here to gain control over my mutant power. I imagine that those of you who have seen me in the halls can no doubt guess the nature of my power and why I could not use a normal computer to introduce myself on the journals.

I am electrogenetic, that is, I create bioelectricity much like an eel. In fact, I am given to understand that the electricity comes from glands very similar to those in eels. Which I suppose sounds rather disgusting, in thinking about it.

I understand from reading the journals that a portion of the student body is currently in Japan, so I look forward to meeting those of you I have not already met when you return.

There was the accident with someone who was not knowing, so I make sure now. Not everyone has the fast healing power. :(

Accidents are not good, no. I had an accident with my powers myself, so I understand. I do not have the fast healing, so I promise to be careful.
