Yes, you may gloat as much as you like, petite rouge. Your country is one of the only ones that went for "tasteful" and not "I am some manner of strange woman/bird hybrid creature".

I have no idea why all those women are wearing all that stuff. It's a beauty pageant, right? Most of those outfits are not beautiful - though I do like the one with the pickax. She could come in handy if you ever need to dig a hole.

Yes. It is the Miss Universe pageant. Which, by the way, is terribly planet-centric of us. Much the way the United States' "World Series" ignores the rest of the world that plays baseball.

I suspect that over the years, the 'national costume' outfits have become more and more overdone, and each year someone attempts to outdo the year before, until what you are left with is this sartorial affront to human dignity.
